You'll Always Be a Prince/Princess to me
by Myles King

After Mary wins the Miss Teenage Princess Pageant and Annette finished 2nd and Brenda finished 3rd, but Destiny gets disqualified for cheating, Annette was a bit sad, but I come over and put a hand on Annette's shoulder.
"Hey, Annie. Don't be sad. You and your friends stopped Destiny from taking your dream and Mary got the princess pageant win. You were great," I spoke.
"I know, Myles. It's just that, I know Mary was the winner and I was happy for her, but I just wish I would've been more beautiful and more graceful to be the winner of the pageant.  But, I guess I'm never the best princess out there after all," said Annette.
"That's not true, Annette. You are more than just a princess, you are a beautiful, talented young woman. You must believe in yourself. I believe in you."
"And like, we're your friends, too Annie. We don't care if you, like came in 25th place," said Brenda.
"Yeah, girl. You're still number one in our books, and we did our best," said Kia.
"And no matter what anybody says about you, you will always the most beautiful princess on the north block to me." Annette heard what they were saying and she realized we were right and that made her happy.
"Oh, thank you, guys. You were right. I might not have won, but I'm still a beautiful princess. And, Myles, those words you said about me were true and I was thinking about the same about you. Even though you might not be Superman or Prince Charming or anything, you're still a fabulous rockin' warrior and super-fine, dark-skinned prince in my book."
"Aww," I spoke. "That means a lot, Annie."
"Now, how about a little duet, you and me?"
"OK!"

(upbeat pop music playing)

Me:
Some people say I have the looks and the charm
and my talents make a cool guy
And though I'm no fictional fellow in fairy tales,
at least my style makes a good impression like I've
never tried

Annette:
Well, my friends say I have beautiful looks
to please someone who feels the same
I don't have to be a fairy tale princess just
to impress someone, but there is something true
that I can proclaim

(Chorus)
Me: I don't care what other girls say about you
even though you try to be the best you could be
The only thing that matters what says most about you
is that you will always be a princess to me

Annette: And I wouldn't care less about how stylish
or not so cool you are
Yet you've shown such heart and soul in every fantasy
No matter what anybody says about you
You will always be a prince to me

Me (spoken): I'm glad you think about that, Annette.
Annette (spoken): I couldn't have said it better, Mylester.

Annette:
I can always count on someone who's a hero
and who would back me up whenever I'm in danger
But every now and then when I think about friends
and those who stand by me
in my heart, I can see that you're no stranger

Me:
I can consider myself a bold and strong warrior
but I have a big nice heart, this I can guarantee

Me/Annette:
We might not be a famous couple, though we had
our share of troubles,
but there's something we can tell to make everyone see

(Chorus)

(My keyboard solo)

Bridge
Me: I can't blame those who say I'm no prince
But I know I can fight for what is right
If there's one thing I've learned is
to see some good in your eyes.

Annette: Who cares if I'm not the best
or the most glamourous
There is something in me that keeps me happy
without a fuss

(Chorus)

Me: No matter what your style is...

Annette: No matter what you wear...

Me: You may not have gotten what you've dreamed...

Annette: But at least there's something to guarantee...

Me/Annette: You will always be a prince and princess... to... me.

(song flourishes, then ends)

As the song ends, me and Annette hug it out and everyone cheered and applauses for the song we did. Even Mary was crying with tears of joy.
"That was so beautiful, guys!" said Mary as she wiped away her tears.
"Like, yeah! Your song reminded us that we're everything to you, like, no matter what some people says," said Brenda.
"And that no contest will ever break up our friendship," said Annette. "And, Myles, thank you again for helping me understand what it is to still always be a princess to anybody out there."
"That's what friends are for, yeah?" I spoke. That ends the song on the scene of the "Con Cometh".

THE END
Here's a song I did for :iconsithvampiremaster27:'s current comic "The Con Cometh". I call it "You'll Always Be a Prince/Princess to me", a duet performed by me and Annette. This song takes place after the Princess Pageant.

Annette Byron, Brenda Purpleton, Kia Jackson and Mary Panda are :iconsithvampiremaster27:
